Insurance Year in Review 2008
2008 is likely to be remembered as a calamitous year for the insurance industry. The American sub-prime crisis of 2007 developed into a fully-fledged global financial crisis in 2008. Climate change also continued to be a prominent issue for the industry. 2008 saw a number of extreme weather-related events that caused considerable property damage. Managing the insurance industry through the financial crisis while it deals with the increasing impact of climate change will prove a large challenge in the years ahead.
Insurance Year in Review aims to provide a thorough and informative reflection on the year that was.
