DLA Phillips Fox advises Fujitsu on purchase of Australian software firm

Commercial law firm DLA Phillips Fox has advised Fujitsu Australia Ltd on its purchase of Supply Chain Consulting Pty Ltd, a market leader of SAP enterprise solutions and services for A$48 million.

The transaction involved the acquisition of the entire issued share capital of Supply Chain Technologies Pty Ltd.

This purchase follows Fujitsu's acquisition of Telstra's KAZ computer services business in March, which DLA Phillips Fox also advised on.

These purchases have seen Fujitsu substantially extend its reach into the Australian IT market.
 
This latest transaction required due diligence across Australia, Thailand and the Phillipines and DLA Phillips Fox's global alliance partner, DLA Piper undertook due diligence investigations through its Bangkok office.
 
The deal team was led by DLA Phillips Fox partner Mark Burger who said:

'With the benefit of recent experience in acting for Fujitsu Australia in the Kaz acquisition,  we were able to very quickly respond to the task of undertaking comprehensive due diligence investigations across all three jurisdictions, report our findings and then successfully complete and document negotiations.
