Martin is a corporate partner with over 17 years' experience advising clients on corporate and commercial law in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
Martin has particular expertise in mergers and acquisitions including private treaty transactions, managing auction processes for both sellers and buyers, public takeovers, private equity transactions, outsourcing and restructuring transactions including schemes of arrangement and amalgamations. He also advises on company and securities law, joint ventures, commercial contracts and regulatory issues.
Martin advises clients in the forestry, electricity, technology, manufacturing, distribution, retail and financial services sectors. He has had a role in many of the large forestry transactions occurring in New Zealand over the past five years.
Martin regularly advises overseas organisations on the regulatory and legal issues arising on entry into the New Zealand market, whether in acquiring an existing business or setting up a new one.
