Norman leads our occupational health and safety group in Melbourne.
Norman offers expertise in:
- Occupational health and safety obligations, compliance, investigations, prosecutions and defending enforcement activity.
- Government litigation in the Federal Court, within State courts, and in Tribunals and bodies operating within both the Federal and State jurisdictions.
- General litigation and dispute resolution across a wide range of areas.
- Administrative law advice and, where necessary, specialist administrative law litigation.
Norman has extensive experience providing risk management advice for employers, occupiers of premises, advising on contractual obligations concerning insurance and indemnities and undertaking litigation associated with compliance or breach of those requirements.
Norman has been appointed by the Attorney-General (pursuant to section 63 of the Judiciary Act 1903 (Cth)) to receive service of Court documents on behalf of the Commonwealth of Australia.
Norman represents a large number of Commonwealth Government agencies, State Government Departments and both large and small private sector entities. He has extensive experience in the area of insurance, risk management and general liability litigation on behalf of the Commonwealth and the State of Victoria.
