Michael has specific expertise in the areas of health law, insurance law, medical negligence, Coronial Inquiries and public liability matters.
Michael represents both public and private hospitals and health organisations in litigation and advises his clients on a wide range of health law issues and risk management. He is regularly retained to appear as Counsel at Coronial Inquests and Supreme Court applications on contentious health issues.
Michael regularly presents to medical groups and hospitals on medico-legal issues. He has run and participated in training sessions for health services, including participating in mock Coronial Inquiries.
Michael also redrafts insurance policies to comply with legislative changes and to ensure they are readable, plain English documents.
Michael is an accredited personal injury law specialist and immediate past Chairman of the Law Institute Personal Injury Law Advisory Committee.
