Andrew leads our trade and transport practice.
Andrew has expertise in maritime and aviation law acting for Australian and foreign cargo insurers, port authorities and ship and airline operators. He also acts for aviation underwriters, importers and exporters and those involved in the freight forwarding industry.
Andrew has experience in advising road carriers and their insurers in relation to road carriers' liability, drafting conditions of carriage for road carriers and advising on risk management issues. He regularly handles cargo claims against carriers but also acts in defence of claims brought against carriers, forwarders and others involved in the storage and logistics industry.
Andrew also provides insurance advice to government with a particular emphasis on the transport sector.
Andrew is in regular contact with lawyers in other countries and has strong international connections both inside and outside the DLA Piper Group.
