Rachel advises public sector clients on good decision making. She assists public and private sector clients in defending or challenging administrative decisions. Rachel also assists public and private sector clients in risk management and crisis response.
Rachel has extensive experience in guiding clients through coronial inquests, OH&S prosecutions, Police, Ombudsman and Whistleblower investigations and internal investigations. She also advised on disciplinary schemes for peak professional bodies.
Rachel also advises public and private sector clients on Equal Opportunity, Anti-Discrimination and Disability Discrimination issues arising in the provision of goods or services.
Rachel has extensive experience advising on the impact of the Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities on the public sector and those contracting with the public sector. She also has experience assisting in education programs about the Charter for public sector clients. For three months over 2002 - 2003, Rachel took leave of absence from DLA Phillips Fox and volunteered with a pro bono attorney in Houston, Texas, representing defendants facing the death penalty. During that time, Rachel was involved in extensive factual and forensic investigation and analysis.
