Louise is an environmental lawyer with particular expertise in contaminated land management, carbon law, corporate social responsibility and waste minimisation. She has more than fifteen years experience and her clients span State and Local Government, water authorities, developers and corporations.
Louise has experience advising all levels of government on the formation and implementation of policy as well as advising local government, major infrastructure proprietors and corporations on climate change implications.
Louise's experience includes:
- Appearing for developers and government agencies at numerous Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal cases, before Ministerial Panels.
- Acting for a developer in a major Supreme Court litigation.
- Advising major corporates on the establishment and implementation of a waste minimisation and management scheme.
- Advising the State Government in relation to the first Environment Improvement Plan for waste remediation/removal in Victoria.
- Guiding major clients through complying with a Clean Up Notice.
- Enforcing planning permit conditions and planning scheme clauses.
- Appearing at VCAT in relation to environmental planning appeals.
- Advising Councils in relation to development contribution plans.
- Liaising with the EPA.
- Advising on tenders for a contaminated soil disposal facility.
- Advising clients on implications of the Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act.
