Laurene has specific expertise in various aspects of funds management and superannuation.
Laurene regularly advises fund managers and superannuation trustees on a variety of issues including Financial Services Regulation (FSR), product development, Australian financial services (AFS) licensing, offer documents, compliance and anti-money laundering.
Laurene assists with:
- Preparing AFS licence applications and provides advice in relation to licence applications as well as compliance with AFS licence obligations.
- Reviewing a variety of documents including constitutions, compliance manuals, compliance plans, marketing materials, offer documents such as product disclosure statements and information memorandums, asset consulting agreements, investment management agreements, administration agreements, custodial agreements and various prime brokerage documentation.
Laurene has experience assisting with the design and establishment of various retail and wholesale investment products, domiciled in offshore jurisdictions such as the Cayman Islands as well as in Australia.
