Grant has specific expertise in litigation, administrative law and insurance.

Grant's experience includes:
  • Administrative law - supervising a team which focuses on appearing in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. Their work principally relates to appeals from decisions made under the Rehabilitation and Compensation Act matters.
  • Dust diseases tribunal - regularly appearing in the Dust Diseases Tribunal for both insured and self-insured defendants and cross defendants. He has a comprehensive understanding of this specialist jurisdiction.
  • Personal injury/public liability/false imprisonment claims - conducting a large number of personal injury matters both in the District and Supreme Courts.
  • Product liability.
  • Professional indemnity.
  • Property damage - assisting with a variety of property damage matters including motor vehicle, buildings, tunnels, directional drilling, gas lines, automated equipment and computer claims.
  • Immigration - including matters in the AAT, Federal Magistrates Court, Federal Court and High Court.
Grant has been appointed by the Attorney-General (pursuant to section 63 of the Judiciary Act 1903 (Cth)) to receive service of Court documents on behalf of the Commonwealth of Australia.
