Melanie practises primarily in the fields of government, commercial and insurance litigation.
Melanie's government and commercial litigation work includes the defence of construction related and intellectual property claims. Her insurance litigation work includes public liability, product liability and professional indemnity matters.
Melanie advises on all stages of the dispute resolution process - from strategic advice, the commencement of proceedings, retaining experts and counsel, exploring settlement, running matters to hearing and appeal, and alternative dispute resolution options (including mediation).
Melanie is also a registered Migration Agent, specialising in employer sponsored, skilled and business migration to Australia.
Melanie has been appointed by the Attorney-General (pursuant to section 63 of the Judiciary Act 1903 (Cth)) to receive service of Court documents on behalf of the Commonwealth of Australia.
