Naomi acts for marine insurers, freight forwarders, customs agents, manufacturers and cargo owners in a range of commercial matters. She conducts commercial litigation in a variety of Australian courts, with a particular focus on claims arising out of the carriage of goods.

Naomi has advised several large Australian manufacturers, exporters and government agencies in relation to tenders for freight services, including preparing tender documents, drafting freight agreements, and providing probity advice in relation to the tender process.

Prior to joining DLA Phillips Fox, Naomi worked for the Victorian Department of Justice, and has also worked for the Department of Treasury and Finance, and the Department of State and Regional Development. As a result of this employment, Naomi brings a unique perspective to DLA Phillips Fox regarding the impact of the legislative framework on the transport industry.

Naomi has also worked for the Legal Aid Board of Ireland in Dublin in civil litigation matters, and currently performs pro bono work through the Homeless Persons Legal Clinic.

Naomi is currently a member of the Victorian Committee of the Maritime Law Association of Australia and New Zealand, and on the Victorian Committee of the Supply Chain and Logistics Association of Australia.
