Jeanette is an experienced litigator with expertise in shipping and marine insurance. She primarily acts for marine insurers, mutual clubs and their member insureds and vessel charterers.
Jeanette advises on bills of lading and charter party disputes and claims arising from vessel casualties. She frequently pursues recovery action for loss of cargo carried by sea and obtains security for cargo claims through arrest action. Jeanette also advises on, and pursues claim for, loss of cargo carried by air and road.
Jeanette also advises on non-contentious aspects of maritime and transport law including bills of lading, boat building and marine insurance contracts.
Jeanette is also admitted in England and Wales and Hong Kong. She is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) and a member of the Maritime Law Association of Australia and New Zealand.
