John embarked on his legal career after 10 years as a quantity surveyor and senior human resource professional in the international construction industry. Accordingly, his advices have the advantage of practicality and pragmatism drawn from his time in the 'real world'.
John is the only Brisbane-based employment and industrial relations lawyer to be ranked as 'highly recommended' in the 2005 edition of 'PLC Which Lawyer' and to be listed in the 'Guide to the World's Leading Labour & Employment Lawyers'. He is one of only two Brisbane-based Workplace Relations practitioners to be identified as "leaders in the field" in the 'Chambers Global Guide 2007'.
John is a gifted and entertaining speaker and highly effective management trainer. He co-authored the chapter 'Awards and Agreements' in LBC's 'Laws of Australia'.
