Brendan has significant expertise in administrative law, personal injury and workers' compensation litigation. He has represented the interests of various government organisations, statutory authorities, insurance companies and self-insured employers for 15 years.

Brendan's experience includes:

  • Administrative law - freedom of information and privacy, merits review in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and judicial review in the Federal Magistrates Court, Federal Court and High Court.
  • Asbestos litigation - acting on behalf of NSW government authorities and national employers in defence of claims in the Dust Diseases Tribunal of NSW.
  • Commonwealth workers' compensation - advice on compensation, rehabilitation, licensing and regulatory issues under the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 and predecessor legislation.
  • Immigration - advice on freedom of information, refugee and migration review, visa cancellation, citizenship and regulation of migration agents under the Migration Act 1958.
